Last year I got a free credit card transfer and no interest for 1 yr deal. Woohoo. I only made payments and made no purchases on card. Last month I paid off balance. I figured there might be some accrued interest for last month and did not check my statement. Yep, and got $35 late fee for not paying interest. Ugh. Called CC and they dropped late fee and wiped off interest too. Woohoo. There are some nice CC firms after all.

Last year I got a free credit card transfer and no interest for 1 yr deal. Wow! I haven't seen one of those 'totally free' offers in several years. They all seem to now carry a hefty (imho anyway) transfer fee, even if they tout it being interest free. Called CC and they dropped late fee and wiped off interest too. Woohoo. Discover is my card of choice. I've had it the longest of any of them, and their customer service is usually quick to answer, and their reps are pleasant and helpful. I always enjoy staying on the line, after I have been helped, to answer their quick survey and give them the best ratings available. Sue

I also like Discover. Their customer service is great!

I should have paid balance in month 11 and thus avoided the interest charge for 1st regular month. I was surprised rep cut me some slack. I was hoping for no late fee but she wiped interest too. Now that's nice and certainly not necessary.
