| The biggest problem I have with them as a buyer is that in order for an auction site to be worthwhile, it has to have a lot of stuff on it so you can search and find what you want. And as a seller, the biggest problem I have with them is that they do not have enough traffic on them to make it possible to get a good price for the item you're selling. Since eBay is so big and absolutely brimming with merchandise, it's awfully convenient just to go to that one. Of course, eBay is free to the buyer, and to the seller their charges are pretty modest. Although I don't have any data to back this up, I'd be very willing to bet that you will fetch a much higher price for your item on eBay than on any other auction site, owing to the far greater traffic, so that'd more than make up for the small fees that eBay charges. |
