Thanks Sharon. LilBit I bought it from wal-mart as a coral cactus. I think I've heard them being called a crested cactus also.p I followed all the succulent care advice on here. Since I've joined this forum it's really gotten huge.

I want to thank you for the wonderful contribution you made to a post a few days ago -- well, maybe longer than that -- where you talked about tissue culturing and fertilizing. I've gone back to it several times to reread and absorb more. Your comments made me realize at least part of the reason Remember Me is such a disappointment; in an effort to have lots and lots available to sale as a breast cancer memorial, developers probably put way too much nitrogen on the plant. Last year I was given an RM with 5-6 eyes; this year it has only 1. Also made me think that an advantage of buying online is that the plants are usually shipped bare-root. If the plant were a recent tissue culture, the root system would be so tiny no one would ever buy from that supplier. I, for one, am glad you've become part of our world. Nance

Mara, welcome and good luck.. you have come to a very useful site for help. It's by far the best research tool I have found to help give clients an independent unbiased way to research and get opinions from a wide variety of people. Its only a part of the research you end up doing and need to do but it is a good one! Dont rule out aesthetics just because its small and functional. They are not mutually exclusive of one another.

Thanks for the update. I have been wondering if Mildred got a lot of cards. Just the one card my hubby and I sent was a joy to do for such a special lady. I read your update to my hubby just now and he was as thrilled as I was to know all her cards made her happy and her response. Jane
