Anyone use Taxact.com?

Has anyone used this? Supposedly it is free, but it sounds too good to be true. I really want to get my taxes done this weekend!

RE: Anyone use Taxact.com?

i was going to use it this weekend myself, but since i had already spent 3 hours plugging everything into turbotax i decided against it. i have talked to several people who do use it, and all say it truly is free and easy to use.

go for it!

i used taxact both this year and last year. it is free, just like they say. at least for your federal return. to file a state return it is an additional $12.95 (i am pretty sure that is how much i paid). i was very pleased with taxact and plan to use it again next year. i only wish i could use taxact to do my local taxes also!

I have used tax act the past couple of years. Like it fine, though I think I have paid to have the info from last year imported. And must pay for the state return for sure.

I, too, have used it for several years, and have absolutely no issues with it.
