some one help me please.
i was selling my electronic on cragielist and three weeks ago i received a check and i thought it was fake so i took it to the bank where the check originated and ask the teller if the check is good and most important does the account have enough fund for withdraw and then teller told me the check is good and the account is fine. so i give them my driver's license and another id and got the money. now, today i received another check. same amount $50.00. but this time the check is from another bank namely MELLON bank. the first one was from BANK OF AMERICA. now what do i do. what i am worry about is that i don't even know WHO send me the check? the first one has this some trust fund company on it and the second is called stanley supply & service. the envelope doesn't have a return address on it. what do i do, do i keep cashing the check or what? seriously i am a little scare now.

If you've already been paid for the 'electronic' (whatever that is) then you shouldn't cash the second cheque.

Why are you scared?

I was told before that there are companies that do this so they cane get your account number and try to scam you down the road. No company just gives money away without wanting something in return. I would be very cautious.

what scares me is that nobody has yet come cross and email me anything about where to send the first electronic that i posted for sale. what is worst that i got another check. and "No company just gives money away without wanting something in return" that is what i am worry about.

Did you not communicate with a specific buyer to make payment and pickup or shipment arrangements? How could some random person have your name and address to which to send the check(s)?

Can you contact this company? Try a internet search.

if you are cashing the checks, then they can't get your account info. be careful what you allow to be written on the check though, don't let them write your SS# on it.

if you deposit a check, then yes it is possible to get your account info.

if noone has contacted you, then you don't know what they bought. i would send the check back myself, with a note to contact you if they wish to purchase something as the only thing you had for sale at that price has been sold.
