For those interested in helping immediately, simply text "HAITI" to "90999" and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts, charged to your cell phone bill.

You could also consider donating through your company if they have a matching gift program. My company set up a specific link with 2 organizations so you could easily donate and it could be tracked for matching purposes. Double the help!

For those interested in helping - cash is king right now. In the longrun, they are going to need donations of food, blankets etc too, but right now the infrastructure is virtually none existent. They aren't going to be able to put to use a truckload of food collected in phili.
