"Even the sheep got taken by Lehman... Oh, Baa "

The story you linked to is about GOATS, not sheep.

Perhaps you were thinking of the "sheep" (sheeple/taxpayers) who have been fleeced through one of the biggest government sponsored ponzi schemes this country has ever known?

"During the last five years of his tenure as CEO of Lehman Brothers, Richard Fuld's total take was $354 million."

How did Fuld justify receiving this kind of compensation when HE KNEW his company was "underwater"?

Care to venture a guess about why Fuld, Paulson, etc., have been treated as merely incompetent rather the more likely scenario that they committed intentional fraud on borrowers and the US taxpayers?

Because they're card-carrying Republicans, maybe?

It clearly isn't what you do or do not do, it's who you know.....

card-carrying Republicans?

somepoints to ponder before making that statement:

Friends of Lehman Sept 2008

Obama has raised a full $395,574 from employees and PACs of the now-bankrupt Lehman brothers, second only to Hillary Clinton.

Chris Dodd and Chuck Schumer did quite nicely, too; McCain is seventh among the firm's favorite pols (though its favorite Republican), having raised $145,100, according to OpenSecrets.org.
