Dave, I notice that you've posted a number of Off-Topic things here. What about asking the Powers That Be at iVillage to set up a side forum just for off-topic conversations? That way we don't run the on-topic discussions off the page. The Cooking forum, and a number of others have the 'conversations' side just for such a reason.

I like the idea too. Just have to be careful on the social commentary part to keep it from getting to political and approaching Hot Topics kinds of discussions...

On the main page of the forum, check down at the bottom for the link for "Letters and Comments."

Here is a link that might be useful: Letters and comments, suggestions, too

Love the funnie Dave! Thanks for sharing.

To start a thread on a suggestion so others can add replies to it, it is maybe best posted at The Suggestion Forum You can also find the link to Suggestions in the alphabetical list of all of the Garden Forums....see link at the top of any page. The powers that be have not responded to any individual posts at Suggestions in a very long while, but hopefully when they are ready to add some things they will consider those 'most' requested things.

There is also a Contact Us link in the green banner at the bottom of every page.

A long while back some friends were starting a lot of OT posts on the Square Foot Gardening Forum because there was no off topic conversation side to the forum. I guess it got upsetting to some of the members who were bothered by so many posts being OT and the real discussions being forced off of the first page. Their temporary solution was to have just one OT thread and for all the OT posts to be added to it. At the time it was a pretty fast moving forum, so I think they were starting a new (dated) OT thread each week.
