Close on my refinance tomorrow...

It was a bit of a challenge. There were some issues with their electronic systems that slowed everything down, and then I kept getting different figures on final costs at closing.

First they told me I'd have to bring $192. Then it was $354. Then it was $16,000!!! (obviously someone screwed up, as this is a refinance of an existing loan with my credit union).

Finally they got the last of the figures from the title company, and it looks like I'll be getting $2,500 back.

As of tomorrow afternoon, after I deposit that overage check, I'll have reached a goal in my life that I didn't think I'd be able to reach for a long time...

Other than my mortgage and my regular bills, I will have ZERO debt. No credit cards, no car loan, no loans of other kinds.

I got divorced some years ago and got stuck with a ton of debt, which I really thought I'd be paying off until the day I died.

Fresh start and a new day starts tomorrow afternoon!
