I would like to make a puppet theater as well as some puppets for my daughter and need a sewing machine. The budget is very tight, so I cannot afford to buy one at the prices I have been seeing. I am not looking for anything fancy, just something that works. If you happen to have one that you want to get rid of, please let me know.

We are in Atlanta in Grant Park, but will drive to pickup as needed.

There is a website called Freecycle dot org. Go there and post your request. I'll bet you'll be able to find one in your area. I often see sewing machines offered for free on that site.
