What happened to Dexatrim?

I used to take Dexatrim in the little yellow tablets to lose my food cravings. They really worked well for me and I actually started to lose weight. Now when I look for them all I ever see is the Herbal form in the green package. I have looked at ever drug store and Wal-mart and cannot find them. Did they quit making them?

RE: What happened to Dexatrim?

The reason you don't see Dexatrim anymore (other than the "natural" one) is because PPA (phenylpropanolamine) (the active ingredient in Dexatrim and other diet pills) was banned a year or two ago by the FDA because of the high incidence of hemorrhagic strokes linked to this product.
