Personally I wouldn't want a boulder or brick wall because I don't wan to kill anyone even if they are stupid and talking on a cell phone while digging around on the floor for change. To save your house and front lawn a long term solution you might try is putting in what I think of as a tire trap. Dig in 2 to 4 rows perpendicular rows of 8 x 8 treated landscaping timber. See if you can get it pre-drilled somewhere so you can pound rebar down the holes into the ground. Bury them a few inches. Anyone coming off the road's front tires will, hopefully, bump up over the first one, go back down and not have enough energy to buck over the second, if they are at higher velocity, they will hit the third one. You might want some cop traffic expertise on spacing. They will look kind of weird, you could try hiding with some shrubs because weeds will grow inbetween, but you cant fill in with anything like flowers and mulch because that would defeat the purpose. Maybe some heavey duty weed barrier and dark colored gravel? As for the mailbox, I've seen some country people put their mailbox's out on a long long long horizontal pole, the base is set way back. Paint it a bright color and put reflectors on it. May not stop people from hitting it but would help in court if it ever comes to that.

No, actually, my ick comment was meant for William. I just don't think he's attractive at all, and, in fact, the opposite. It's his mouth, I think. Now Harry, I've always thought that he was an adorable munchkin and still think the same today. In my opinion, William is geeky looking and Harry is fun, cute looking. I think that some people (I'm not saying here!!!) think William is good looking because the popular opinion says he's good looking. Maybe the emperor has no clothes. I'm sure they're both wonderful men. Perhaps William is a better person, I don't know. I am referring to my reacion to their physical looks - that's all. Now, if we were to post a picture of me, we'd all have something to say! Hahaha. They do look like a happy, in love couple and I hope the love lasts. As far as Charles goes, and "having a mistress waiting in the wings", I actually feel sorry for him, in a way. He loved Camilla all along but was not permitted to marry her. It was forbidden for him to be with her. What a shame! I loved Diana, but I don't entirely blame Charles for the facade. I'm glad he and Camilla are together now. I wish Diana were alive and happy with someone.

I had to rub my eyes and pull my ears to open my ear canals to make sure I was reading and hearing this correctly: The most fanatical expression, I think, of wanting to deny history of the U.S. is that of those who would like to 'demote' Thomas Jefferson from his position as a "Founding Father" of the U.S.A. and as founder of the University of Virginia, among other accomplishments. Some have said they would be willing even to scrap! The Declaration of Independence in order to reverse or expunge his influence -- all because Jefferson was a slave owner and he might have fathered at least one child (perhaps more) with his slave Sally Hemings (who also happened to be his deceased wife's half-sister). In some minds it is settled: recent DNA testings of Sally Hemings's male descendants indicate someone in the line of Peter Jefferson (father of Thomas) fathered at least one of Sally's sons. It is very possible it was Thomas, but it's also possible that it was Thomas's brother or either of two nephews who were known to be in the vicinity. So the evidence is not conclusive. Is that reason enough to negate everything else Thomas Jefferson did? These same fanatics would like to see all monuments and memorials to Thomas Jefferson changed, including Mount Rushmore. They have floated the notion that the heads of Jefferson and George Washington, another slave owner, should be re-carved to represent more worthy presidents. The four with the most mentions are Franklin Roosevelt, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and Barack Obama. I doubt that anything will come of it -- the hoopla has since died down a bit from about five years ago when I first got wind of it. I would say that nothing ever will be done that drastic, but now I'm not sure that redress seekers for grievances will ever completely let it go.
