Capsaicin Benefits - Whole pepper seeds OK or must be ground?

In the same way that flax seeds must be ground in order to reap the benefits of their alpha-linolenic & omega-3 fatty acids I'm wondering if Capsicum (chillis, peppers) seeds must also first be ground to obtain Capsaicin's health benefits

...or if they can just be swallowed down like a pill.
Anybody know?

(If you don't know why I ask, try chewing on a habanero some time!)
