Ani - I'm one of the ones with the issues w/the Wolf AG range. Chances are you "might" be OK with your new purchase. We, however, are quite glad to be rid of our problematic Wolf and very happy with the new American. That said, if you do have issues, Wolf was very good about servicing (except for the one guy that thought I was crazy) and in the end, did the right thing by buying back the range, in full plus installation. In other words, they stood by the product. I do think though there are still some unresolved issues with the AG ranges that were put in to production for the 2007 year. (mainly because no one could figure out what the problem was and fix it!) If that has been resolved, you should be great for many years! As to your solutions listed above - a - tried on some ranges, didn't completely resolve the issue. b - the riser is not the issue as some have had issues with the taller risers c- the problem was not the regulator but it was replaced anyway. d - gas line - be sure your gas line from street to house, house to range etc meets the standards of Wolf as stated in docs (ours did, but still had problems) If you stick with it, most if not all problems with the ranges I know about were noticeable right off so it shouldn't take you long to see if the burner/oven issues are evident in your range. I keep mine in a 50\50 cs,perlite mix and they are doing well,except a lighting issue, also have a kalanchoe in straight cactus soil and is one of the best looking plants in the house but has to be watered carefully. I'm still learning so I prob shouldn't be offering advice, but when I'm wrong I'll be corrected multiple times which is how I'll continue to learn and that's never a bad thing..enjoy your new plants!!! Removing the wall with the clock on it doesn't get you anything really, aside from an open dining area. I agree with others that your goals are probably unrealistic for your budget. But hey, I'll play. Cooktops shouldn't be on islands for a number of reasons, but mainly safety and ventilation. People should not be able to reach the cooktop from the other side of it. It should be protected. People still put cooktops on islands, but they should have sufficient space behind it and sufficient ventilation above it (at least, if they're following good design). "move the fridge somewhere else"...where? You can't really remove that row of cabinets without having a place for all of it to go, and your kitchen isn't really big enough to move them all to the outside wall. But, OK, assuming an island. 10 feet with a 3.5' aisle (work) and a 4' aisle (to the basement) leaves you with 2.5' for the island. Maybe a sink fits on that, but it's tight. Seating definitely wouldn't. So you move your sink and DW to the island (relocating plumbing), move your range to the window wall and put the fridge on the end of that cabinet run, you may be able to do it. With a hefty budget. Hard to tell though without a measured layout.

Why does your tub have those restrictions?. I have a copper kitchen sink and there are restrictions. It has a living finish and so if anything acidic is poured in, it becomes brighter in those spots since it is what is be used to polish copper.
