Anemic and Hypothyroid and Michel Thurmond? thoughts please!

I am being treated for severe anemia(premenopausal related) and a currently out of whack hypothyroid. With the steady increases of replacements I should do fine in about another couple weeks. ANyone with either of these issue try the Michael Thurmond diet? SOunds too good to be true. I tried the Body for life and was faithful but did not see a lot of change. I think it is because I need to lose 60 pounds. Thanks in advance for your posts.
