NOT tarnished copper... I was intrigued about slugs and copper, so conducted my own little experiment. I put 1/2" copper pipe in the sun, and a slug so that, with the sun at his back, in his retreat he would be forced to come face-to-face with the copper. He touched it and reared back like a miniature horse! It worked, and I read later that their reaction is caused by a small electrical charge. ---- One drawback about copper I've never seen addressed in forums or blogs, on garden sites, or by garden suppliers: once the copper is tarnished, slugs cross it like it's nothing. I don't feel like cleaning my copper, nor wish to rebuy every season, so I've opted for ducks. They're fun companions (in the country), but the hens can be loud. I did 15 minutes on a manual treadmill 9manual treadmills are a chore! LOL). The pedometer says it was about 700 steps but my calves say it was about double that. Goal is to be up to 1500-2000 steps by the end of the month.

I just had "breakfast" so I'm waiting for my stomach to settle before I do anything. Zipper, I've got a yoga tape somewhere, bought it last year but had a really hard time doing most of the poses. I may dig it out in a few weeks when I get a little more limber and my gut does away. I can't barely tie my shoes anymore.

Yes this has been covered many times! It is of course not necessary to tape wire nuts IF they are installed properly but taping may help if they were improperly installed as it may stop a wire from comming out and shorting out a ground wire or whatever! Here is the proper way to use wire nuts (imho). First make sure you are not trying to install too many for the wire nut size, trying to get just one more in that tan wirenut if you don't have that red one! Make sure they are ALL stripped of insulation evenly and that they ALL are of equall length. (sometimes it is good to strip way more insulation and use your linemans plyers and twist them all (here is another "controversal" subject) together and then cut the ends off square. Make sure to tighten the nut really tight, if you did twist the wires before twisting the nut and squared the wires at end, you will never find a wire loose. The above is foolproof with all solid wires. When you have stranded and solid mixed you have to be very observent of what is happining to the stranded wires! They don't twist equally with solids, so you have to check that they are properly twisted with them all and have not twisted more than the others making them not be even with the rest.
