I never even thought of waterbeds being restricted but it makes sense. Thankfully we got it free from someone who didn't want it anymore. Sounds like way too much trouble and worry even if allowed - I'll just use some of the wood for scrap :) I will check online for your suggestion on a mat, never heard of that either. Not sure if it would slide if I put it on, say, a sofa cushion not used? SUrely vibrations couldn't be felt, heard through that? Just don't think that would work well with something I'm jumping on. :) May just be forced to use it outside, will have to see. And no, no basement in the building. Thanks guys!

From a personal experience, my wife moved the treadmill to a spare bedroom on the second floor of our last home. The home was only 6 years old. Anyway, the master bedroom was on the other side of the house. That thing was SO loud, it would wake me up when she worked out in the morning. The vibration, when she jogged, rattled the things on the walls. Since you live in a duplex, your neighbors may have concerns?

If she has a nearby gym, perhaps they could steer her in the right direction. It's hard to believe that the ONLY spray available is from a manufactor.

if time is a factor and you are in half decent shape... consider HIIT training. It's hell, but I'm starting to look forward to my 'punishment'. I put a link to the article that got me interested in trying it. I'm using their 2 month chart too. Not sure of you age or condition so you might want to consult someone before considering it. I've read a lot or articles that say trainers and doctors do not recommend HIIT training because of liablility issues. I'm 30, in good shape (ice hockey twice a week) and like this much better then the slow, boring 40 min rides. I'm only on 6 min. I'm sure I'll by crying by 15min.
