Is it just me or have you noticed too?
Comments (36)Honestly, I hadn't noticed any slowdown. But then again, I have barely been on lately. I'm swamped at work, and have all sorts of things being planned for the family and such. I've been checking in, but had little time to post. I have a hard time believing anyone would leave over a comment made about where pictures should be posted(I made such a comment, but don't know if this is referring to me or just a general thing). For further thoughts on this see Dianas post. I agree with her fully. I am also guilty of posting a pic thread, but rarely commenting in others threads. To be honest, it takes a lot for me to post a comment on pictures. I'm not going to post in everyones thread just for the sake of proper board etiquette(what is that old saying? If you can't say something nice...). I'm not that kind of guy. If you do something extraordinary, trust me, I'll comment. JMO, I am sorry if you feel judged. Trust me, this is not the case. I have been coming here for a couple years now, and it has always been a great place to talk gardening. Sure, there are those that have been here forEVER, and all seem to know each other, and post more than others, but newcomers are always welcome, regardless of posting habits. Lets not look too deep into this folks. We're all busy people who love gardening. This forum is a great way to share our interest. Post how, where, and when you want to, but use common sense when doing it. Simple as that....See MoreVitamins.....Do you take them??
Comments (34)Geritol (liquid vitamin) is made from Brewer's yeast (by product of beer-industry). I love taking Brewer's yeast since it's a natural food-product, rather than refined chemicals. People give NOW's brewer's yeast thumb-down due to its bitterness, but U of Michigan Medical website stated that for brewer's yeast to be effective, it should be bitter. I mix 1/2 Tablespoon of brewer's yeast with 1 cup of milk, plus 1 heaping tablespoon of buckwheat honey, and it tastes great. It really stabilized my blood sugar, and helped me to lose weight & plus extra energy. I can see why many people report increased energy with vitamins or brewer's yeast (high in B-complex, chromium and selenium). Have been taking brewer's yeast for 1 year .. hair is super thick, at 52-year-old .. it really help with healthy hair. I took Brewer's yeast initially to repel bugs & mosquitoes when I worked in the garden ... but like the extra-energy & less cravings that I kept doing it even in the winter. Folks give brewer's yeast to their pets for shiny & smooth coat of hair, plus to repel fleas. Below is U. of Maryland Medical Center on Brewer's yeast, at $8 per pound, it's a lot cheaper than vitamins & plus help to prevent colds & flu: http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/supplement/brewers-yeast Below link lists caution if you take medications along with brewer's yeast Brewer's yeast contains a large amount of tyramine, a substance that can interact with MAOIs and cause a hypertensive crisis Source: Possible Interactions with: Brewer's Yeast | University of Maryland Medical Center http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/supplement-interaction/possible-interactions-with-brewers-yeast#ixzz3Zmk9uIfc...See MoreAnyone Have a Really Great Pizza Sauce at Short Notice?
Comments (11)Pizza sauce should not be watery. From what I've seen, there are two schools of thought, one is to have a very light sauce with just chopped tomatoes, spices, a bit of olive oil. The other is to have a thicker 'Italian Sunday gravy' type of cooked down sauce which can include tomatoes, puree, chopped tomatoes, and paste. So for today, for this particular pizza, you can have either. Here I found a recipe for a light margarita sauce:. In a large saute pan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons olive oil, the minced garlic, thyme and oregano. Cook until just fragrant then add the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Lower the heat and simmer for 7 to 8 minutes to reduce and concentrate the flavor. If you want a thicker sauce, and all you have on hand in the way of tomatoes and you are not going to risk going to the store for a pizza, is canned tomatoes, you need to start cooking them down now if you want a thicker more intense sauce, and add some of the ingredients tigereye lists above. Good luck I'm excited for you and can't wait to hear how your pizza comes out!...See MoreNotice anything different?
Comments (60)So I have a friend who had to use an attorney for some very blatant abuses of property law - speaking broadly, of course. It's now been going on for more than 5 years and has resulted in restraining orders, security cameras and the police activity on many occasions. This person is not in an HOA, but is in a city that places a value on their historical neighborhoods. My advice is don't make assumptions about who is in charge, and be cautious about the conversations you have. "Give an inch..." you know the rest. And don't discount the value of security cameras if things should escalate. That's how my friend finally got the proof necessary to take their issue to the next level. And even though the "legal stuff" is resolved, the quality of life is not back to normal and probably never will be. Obviously I'm sure your attorney has given you really good advice as well....See Moreandrew_plitt
