Eating right for Hockey?

I am on a low calorie diet and wondered what kind of food I can eat for energy. I play a very strenuous hockey game once a week and I run out of energy.

Nutrition-dense foods include beans, eggs, blueberries, broccoli, oats, oranges, pumpkin, salmon, soy, spinach, turkey breast, walnuts and yogurt.

If you are doing strenuous exercise, it's not really a good time to go on a low-cal diet. At least get more to eat before your game, and make sure to eat extra protein then - like eggs. (Martina Navratilova used to eat 10 eggs before a match, among other things).
