Potassium Rich Foods that can help lowere blood pressure

If you have troubles with high blood pressure it is said that you should try to maintain a diet high in potassium. Try to add as many potassium rich foods in your diet as possible, some examples of foods rich with potassium are various fruits, vegetables, dairy foods, and fish.

Doctors always say bananas but they certainly aren't the only choice. One caveat is that if you have kidney problems, you may have to rethink loading up on potassium

If you have adrenal problems, loading up on potassium without salt can be risky.

Bananas in excess can be constipating. Avoiding sodium is also important in controlling high BP. That means becoming familiar with how much sodium there is in food -- it appears in foods you would not expect because they do not taste salty. Read labels for salt content, especially canned soups, except those intentionally low in sodium. The goal it to try to stay below 3,000 milligrams of sodium per day.

Calcium can also lower blood pressure, and is good for preventing osteoporosis. But it can be constipating, so you need to experiment with the dose you take and the time of day you take the dose.
