I overheard people saying they were invited to a "pasta party" any idea's on this type of party? What kind of dishes and sides to serve? Thought this might be a nice change over the holidays or into the new year.

RE: Pasta Party

I would guess that a "pasta party" would be similar to how a pasta buffet station is set up. They have a few options for pre-cooked pasta (e.g., linguine, ziti, etc.) and they have several options for toppings: marinara sauce, alfredo sauce, pesto, and so on. They'd have extra portable burners/pans, olive oil, garlic, and so on... you select your pasta and they quickly reheat it according to your preference and then add the sauce(s)/toppings you choose.

Forgot to say that side dishes would include things like meatballs, sausage, peppers & onions, pieces of baked chicken (things that go with the pastas you're having), and of course grated parmesan or romano cheese, and hot peppers :) Have an antipasto or garden salad and garlic bread... and perhaps trays of cannolis, pusties, and/or Italian cookies for dessert.
