| I am having a surprise party for my husband at a resturant. It starts at 7 and most guests are couples with kids so I assume they will have eaten. Invitation says appetizers and cupcakes. I am not sure how many appetizers to order per person. |

| Best be sure the guests are clear that you won't be supplying a meal as such. For a 7pm event I would expect dinner to be served, even if it was in the form of a couple dozen appetisers. |

| I usually plan on 8-10 apps. per person per hour for an evening cocktail party. Some will eat less, others(usually the men) eat more. NancyLouise |
