Looking for football field layered tex mex dip

Posted by blizlady (My Page) on

I saved quite a few recipes and recipe sites for ideas on Super Bowl party recipes. I saw one layered dip that had a bottom refried bean layer, maybe another layer of dip or shredded cheese, then topped with a guacamole dip, and sour cream to make lines to look like a football field. It also had a few plastic football characters placed on top. I have done every type of google search possible, but can't seem to find that site. Can anyone help? We are going to a Super Bowl party on Sunday and I suppose I can wing it if I don't find a picture. Thanks!

Is this the one you saw?

Here is another:

They both have goal posts, but neither one has little football player figures. No one is going to stop you from adding them, though!

I don't think you really need help from a web site, though -- just make it the way you described it. Sounds like a darling idea. I'm sure it will be the hit of the party.

Here's another one which actually has the X's and O's on it instead of actual players. Very cute!

Thank you both! Those are great examples. I plan to take my camera to the party because there are quite a few people planning to come and the hosts are fantastic cooks too! I hope to gather some new recipes!
