Electrolysis question--copper pipes

Will copper plumbing with soldered joints fail if I pump ssalt water through it?

The system is made of more than copper and solder. There is msot probably a pump and other fittings, some of brass or stainless steel or aluminum or steel or zinc. Electrolysis WILL occur between dissimilar metals in a saltwater environment. Corrosion will occur if any air is introduced to the system. Regular non-lead (or leaded) solder will survive suitably, but any saltwater system needs inspection and maintenance.

Can you use plastic pipe instead of metal? Can you use a fluid other than saltwater?
