| Has anyone installed or seen a solar patio cover? I think we are going to cover the patio with some sort of shade structure, and I thought why not check on solar panels? I'm concerned about the cost of course, but also the ease of installation. Anyone have any thoughts? |

| Well, I live in Long Beach California so I wouldn't need a lot of energy to run heaters and air conditioners. I'd really just want to funnel the energy from the panels into a general electrical format. I'd use it mostly to run lights, TV, water heater and fridge. |
