Renewable Energy for the Home

Geothermal wells

My home is at the end of Long Island, NY.I am contracting for a replacement of my Electric A/C and Oil fired hot air heating system. Geothermal sounds great. I have one well and am having a second well drilled for recharge.Have I gone too far and/or will I regret this costly decision? I am also having the fan speed as variable. I signed the contract and did not find your site until this evening. I have been reading articles for over 2 years and thought that I made the correct decision! Any help or comments..Kent Mc Donald BBIKES@AOL.COM

Perhaps more information might be helpful. How deep are they drilling and what system are they installing? I presume itÂs Âopen loopÂ liquid.
