3 ton Waterfurnance Evision unit $20,000

We just got a quote for 3 ton Waterfurnace Envision unit, 5 series $20,000. We live in SC. House is 1,550 sq ft. It is new construction. The system will be pond looped. Or $23,000 for the 7 series. Two questions. Is the quote comparable to what others have paid? And is there much of a difference between the 2 series? Also is there any disadvantage with having the system pond looped?

It’s hard to believe you received a quote without an explanation. Series 7 has a variable speed compressor; series 5 may have either a single speed or dual speed compressor.

There is no disadvantage in having a pond loop as long as it’s properly designed and installed - providing your pond is big enough and deep enough!

What are the details of your location and pond?
