| Looking at installing geothermal at my home. There's a local company that is waterfurnace geo pro master dealer but they aren't IGSHPA certified. They say they use a certified well driller though. Would you avoid anyone not certified by IGSHPA, or is the fact that they are Geo pro enough?
Thanks Greg |

| I wouldn’t necessarily count them out. However, I would suggest speaking with WaterFurnace to see how long this contractor has been one of their dealers, how many installations they’ve done and if they have received training from WaterFurnace. I would also inquire of WaterFurnace if there are others I your area that are IGSHPA accredited installers and whether this is a requirement to receive any tax credits. I would also want to know if the driller is responsible for connecting the ground loops to the heat pump and flushing the system. Who is responsible for start-up? SR |
Here is a link that might be useful: IGSHPA

| I would look into other unit providers besides water furnace. I have heard a number of issues with their units. We went with Econar and are very happy. |
