| My wife recently noticed what appeared to be some sort of mold on our dining room floor up against one wall. After taking the floor molding off, I noticed that the sheetrock appeared to have been wet at one time. After cutting out the sheetrock about a foot off the ground, I think I found the problem. Around 20 years ago I added onto my house and it was at this wall where the new slab was poured up against the old slab. Problem seems to be that over the years a small crack has developed between the 2 slabs allowing moisture to come up from the ground. What do I need to use to pour into this crack to fix the problem? I was thinking about a liquid type of cement sort of like the self leveling cement. Please help me. |

| hydraulic cement is the only one that will swell to fit the crack. any other thype of cement will shrink as it dries. for best results you need to waterproof it with something like what they use to WP outside basement walls. |
