Passive solar in New Hampshire

We wanted to add a passive solar addition to our Andover, NH home for supplemental heat and gardening. BUT - there seem to be very few sunny days in this area of the country. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

You might also want to check out the link below. It is to Solar Components, a NH company. I live in Tilton and we are also looking at using some solar at the house. A guy I work with lives in Warren and he has a solar greenhouse which when it gets over 75 blows hot air back into his house so even north of us there is enough sun to make a difference.

Here is a link that might be useful: Solar Components
