I would use both machines and maybe a few others before purchasing to see which one you are most comfortable using.

I have a CE-200 with no problems sewing, it's the tight area underneath that makes needle changing and cleaning a real challenge--I use a stork-nosed pair of pliers to do this so I don't get poked with the needle. The lighting and seam line marks aren't the best so I had to slap a seam guide on it to see where I was going. There are pre-sets for stitching. If you want to change length or width, you have to listen for the beeps and test sew like no tomorrow to get the right combination. There are no marked lengths or widths on the slide controls and you can't silence the beeps that get really aggrivating after a while. It does do a wonderful job embroidering and the sewing stitch quality is there.

I haven't had the bobbin case problems some people have had and everything but the embroidery arm worked correctly out of the box..the arm was replaced and everything works like it should. Right now I'm not too happy with the buttonholer that went bezerk on me so CE-200 is cooling it's heels in its portable tote right now...I'm using my Kenmore 19365 with a buttonhole attachment that works correctly.
