I'm just getting started with machine embroidery.

How do you keep all your threads organized and keep from buying duplicates?

RE: Organizing Embroidery Thread

Hi I saw a fantastic tip on - hope it is ok to repeat it. Someone had bought corks, which fitted the top of each spool and they wrote the thread number on the top of the cork. As soon as you open the drawer they can then be easily seen. I bought a roll Hugo's Amazing Tape - a clear, glueless reusable tape and I wind this around my large thread bobbins to keep the ends in place.
