Husqvarna Embroidery Customizing System

Hi, I purchased the customizing system on EBay and now have found that the first floppy disc (1 of 3) does not have any data on it. Also, it did not come with a "dongle". Must I have one to run this system. Any help that you could give me would be very welcome. Thank you.
