Hooping above pocket

I need to embroider a logo above the left chest pocket of a dress shirt for a friend's husband. The problem is that I have hooped & re-hooped at least a dozen times & cannot seem to get the design straight. If I hoop perpendicular to the button placket (hopefully that makes sense)then the design looks crooked above the pocket. If I hoop aligning with the top of the pocket, then the design looks a bit slanted when looking at the left side of the shirt straight on. Do I just go with aligning it to the top of the pocket? That seems to be my gut feeling on what to do but would appreciate any suggestions.

Maryann, sounds like the pocket is not on the shirt straight! If you're not willing to remove the pocket and straighten it, I would go with aligned with the top of the pocket.
