| I have ordered a Janome 300E and have been looking on the net at all the free designs available. It's stunning!
For my machine, they need to be .jef. How do I know what format the designs are in? and how do I convert? |

| Islay, most of the websites I've been on either allow you to download the designs in a bunch of formats (I just delete the ones I don't need), or a different button to click for the format you want. As far as converting, I have Embird software that allows you to convert designs from one format to another. You can go to My Embroidery Haven and download a free trial of Embird. I also have an Amazing Box that allows me to convert designs to my format. Donna |

| Donna, I've just been to your website and it's all so beautiful. I should get my machine by the week end and I'll be back when I've got the hang of it. Those lace bowls just blew me away LOL. Thank you. |

| Ooh Islay - have fun with the new machine! I got my combo machine at a show a couple of years ago b/c I was so blown away by how easy it was to use - I knew NOTHING about the machine embroidery world! There is so much out there and so much to learn! You may also want to check out the Martha Pullen ME forum - there are a bunch of ladies on there who know EVERYTHING about ME! And they're really nice, too :)! |

| There is a free download that enables you to convert your designs. It is www.pulsemicro.com. Colleen |

| Many of the free designs are in a .zip file that you unzip and your .jef format should be in there when you unzip it. |
