viking designer 1 embroidery help!

| I have had my machine less than a month. The embroidery arm fell down froma table today and when I put it on the machine to embroider something it seemed to work well but it would not embroider. I calibrated the arm with the hoop on. I then took off the hoop, shut down the machine, and retried it several times, but it kept giving me this message: "slide off hoop. Clear embroidery arm. use presser foot R." Even thoug i followed those directions, it still gives the same message. Is it time for the dealer?
Any input would be appreciated.
