Make sure the leather is soft enough for the machine to sew on. I have a Vking and the man that sold me the leather was positive the machine could do it, the sewing machine place had some they had embroidered on put up on display...great. Until I tried to do it, slow the machine down if possible, use the leather needle and if the light starts flashing STOP. Your machine is trying to go out of time. I hope you have a better time than I did, the leather was too heavy, lighter than what the dealer had on display. I guess I do not like to pressure the machine.

I tried embroidering the school logo Sat & it did very well. I used the regular embroidery needle & threads. I used an iron on knit interfacing to the leather & attached it with adhesive spray to a regular interfacing that I hooped. I did feel for a thinner piece of the leather. Everyone that has seen it is impressed.
