please help

i have a husqvarna orchidea embriodery maschine i have not used it fot years now i have dug it out again and have a laptop whereas before i used a pc. the sortware seems to be ok but everytime i try to open a image from a card in the reader writer or save to it ,it comes up no LPT port available my dad and me have tryed everything and just cant get it to work ,please have any of you out there have any answers i really would be so grateful and happy to have it going again. thankyou.

sorry i ment to put LPT port unavailable.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with a pc running XP. I can get the software to load and it will do everything it did on my winows 98 computer that crashed. I now have XP and get the same message no LPT port available. Did you find out anything from anyone out there? I sure would like to hear from anyone .. What software are you using, I'm using the very first one that Viking came out with it is version 1.2 Now I don't know what I'm going to do about this I can't do any embroider.Thanks
