help! embroidery puckering

Posted by nancy242 (My Page) on

I have a SE270d machine, I am trying to do some disney quilt blocks and the blocks are puckering around the embroidery. I have tried different types of stabilizer, changed my needle, changed the bobbin thread and still have puckering. Any suggestions?

RE: help! embroidery puckering

Loosen up your thread tension a bit, use a second layer of stabilizer, or starch the fabric before you embroider it.

Many times after you do the embroidery, pressing on the wrong side gets rid of the puckers.

Make sure your not stretching the fabric when you hoop it, it may pucker when the hoop is released.

Also, try steaming the stabilizer (assuming it's not fusible) to preshrink it.
