need help has anyone ever embroidered on a sweater?

I bought a very pretty sweater coat today in the thrift store it

is 85% wool and 15% polyster and it is in beautiful fall colors.

I would like to embroider some fall scences but I never have

embroidered on sweater fabric and I was wondering if anyone has and

could share what you need to use.....

Sweater knit is not the easiest thing to embroider. You have to stabilize the knit from underneath and use a design that isn't very dense.

Whenever I embroider on anything stretchy I always use stabilizer on top and bottom. I like to use wash out on top. And be sure not to stretch the material too much in the hoop. Good Luck!
