cable for satellite dish

| I would like to use this cable I have for a salelilite dish. The cable is marked RU62a/u type cl2 shielded 22awg. Can this be used ????? If not what would the problem be and what could I use it for . I have a whole spool of it.Thanks in advance |

| I think what you really have is RG62, which was an odd coax used in some early Ethernet applications and has a 93 ohm impedance. While in many applications, "wire is wire", it's not the same when carrying an RF signal. While it could work, I'd just use RG6 or RG6 quad, with a 75 ohm impedance, and not have to worry about it. |

| Thanks , I think I'll try it . Its only for a hunting camp and used a couple times a year and the price is right... |

| I think RG59 F-connectors would be the closest in dimension to terminate the cable with. |

| 13 recepticals now have been detected to have a ground problem after installing an LCD HD TV, which is mirrored to two analog/tube type TVs using Dish Network Satelite. Can anyone advise me on where to start and what tools do I need to rectify this problem. Thanks in advance for your input. henryl80@hotmail or 832.971.8089 |
