magnavox lcd tv won't turn on

I'm hoping PeeWee will find this thread - the other one was too long to add mine there.

I have a Magnavox LCD TV model 32MF231D/37. It lives on a wheeled cart, which is normally not moved. Today I swung it out from its normal corner, while on, and then later swung it back. It went out when I moved it and now won't come back on. There was a burned smell and no amount of plugging, unplugging, or letting it cool gets it to come back on.

Any suggestions, or should I just take the back off and look to see what looks fried?
