 o
Whole House audio receiver - suggestions needed.

Hi all

Please excuse my electronic ignorance- it's not my "bag"!

Our new home has whole house audio. I think we have 4 zones. As I recall the installation company told us we need a receiver with "4 channel selector box". Might have been six. I would like an AM/FM and XM or Sirius with an ipod/MP3 connection. I suppose we need a remote. I am fairly sure it's already to go- just needs the receiver ( it's in a cabinet and I haven't gazed at it recently). We don't plan on using it for surround sound.

I would like to have this installed by Christmas. Any and all suggestions are appreciated- at least point in the right direction as to brand etc.

Thanks
PD

You should go to a store and describe your needs to them. Some, like Tweeters, or Best Buy, have technicians that come out for a fee to consult and recommend a receiver. There are great products out there, so most of it depends on your price range and required features.
