HI, I have a MX6472c101, chassis # PTV 815-AH01. while watching it, it suddenly shot sparks and smoke. I have a degree in electronics, and I am currently an instrument technician. But a tv tech, I am not. And without a schematic --Anywho after removing the circuit board, it is obvious that it has a blown capacitor as it is in 2 separate pieces on the board. My question is does anybody have any idea as to what spec this capacitor might have been or what might have caused this to happen? and what else i might look for that could be bad along with this? it looks like the number is or was c9?? maybe c905?
thanks ahead of time
will
