Sharing DSL Connection with another computer.

My DSL provider is Verizon.I have their modem which has 3 extra ports.
I want to install a second computer up stairs....can this be done, using the required length of Ethernet cable (which is 25 feet) without going wireless?
The literature states that you may have up to 4 pc's hooked to the modem and there are 3 extra ports on the modem, I would assume so.
