 o
If not a Bose wave radio, then what?.

I would like to have a nice desktop AM/FM radio in my house, similar to the Bose wave radio, but Bose has so many detractors. I would like built in speakers, a CD player and maybe an mp3 player. I'd like either a strong antenna or the ability to add an antenna to bring in more stations. I don't want this to be an adjunct to my computer. And I don't want to pay a monthly fee. I have a couple AM/FM radios; they don't seem to pick up many stations, and they don't have plugs for external antennas.

Any recommendations?

The Bose Wave Radio is a nice radio, just don't expect the "room filling sound" that they over hype.

Other decent table radios are available from Cambridge Soundworks, Tivoli and Boston Acoustics. Denon also has some that are quite nice and also can tune in free internet radio stations if you have a wireless internet connection in your house.
