 o
Rotary Phone Light

This is kind of a long shot. Anyway, I have an old rotary phone that I want to modify. Specifically, I want to drill a hole in the case and install some kind of red light (probably an LED) that will flash when there's an incoming call.

The actual wiring looks pretty straightforward. However, I'm looking for some advice as to the actual light/lens I should have. How much power is actually available? What will provide the great brightness? I checked out Radio Shack and Fry's Electronics and the options were pretty wide open.

Thanks in advance for your help.
