Getting rid of (selling) smart phone

Debbie Downer

I really don't like my dumbass phone (it thinks its "smart") I thought I would use it for internet while travelling but I really would prefer a netbook for that and just a basic (cheap ) phone for the calling and receiving calls function.

What percentage of original price can I realistically expect to receive? Its a Samsung galaxy from consumer cellular about 4 mo. old, in great shape, no packaging but does have documentation. Anything I need to do re: wiping out my old data?

You might want to take a look on Craigslist and eBay to see what people are asking for your phone. Samsung makes a bunch of "Galaxy" phones so make sure you're comparing apples to apples.

Realistically, you're probably looking at half to a third of what you paid for it. There are just too many used phones out there.
