| Hello All--
This seems the place to post questions about this sort of thing. Sorry if I am wrong. We are strongly considering getting Netflix and their $99 Roku Netflix player to watch streamed movies. In order to do this we'd have to upgrade our internet to cable (no big deal, about an extra $13.00/mo. and Comcast service is pretty good around here) since I feel our DSL would be too slow. Since we've started renting/buying tv shows on DVD, we LOVE not having commercials. Netflix seems to have almost any show we'd want to watch and it's much less expensive than renting/buying all the DVD's we'd love to see. Currently $8.99 for unlimited downloads, you just need a fast internet connection and the $99 player from Roku. We have an older Sony 24" (6 yrs) non thin panel TV, so fabulous HD is not our issue right now. Is anyone else doing this, or own the Roku player? Any other player out there we should consider? Is this a good idea? Your thoughts appreciated! Lenvt |
