I just had this problem with an old Magnavox VCR. It was working fine when I last used it maybe 6 months ago. I left a videotape in there and now it won't eject. I took the top off and the tape in not mangled or tangled. There is a metal plate over the tape inside the VCR, making it difficult to pry, but I have tried screwdrivers etc. with no luck. The Vcr plays, records,rewinds, and ff but does not eject. I too, live in podunk country. If anyone has any updated help I would apprecitate it.
